There are so many opportunities for variety and to satisfy both moods and needs. After I have taught paddle board lessons in the morning, it is generally 11:30 a.m. Its still time for breakfast or vacationers might decide lunch and an early cocktail would be fun.
I have a thing for the french toast and bananas at Beach Break at the Harbor. They serve until three so I have plenty of time. After paddle boarding, I am in shorts and a T shirt or something heavier in the winter, but I still like to sit out doors. Most of the restaurants have an outdoor patio and allow casual beach dress.
At Rock’n Baja I might have my Dos Equis on draft or a marguerita and a few street tacos. I also encourage my guests to try some type of shrimp bowl because you really wind up liking your fingers for more. The appetizer tuna poke is a must.
If I want to watch football and drink beer and maybe have some food Tony’s Sports Bar and Grill is a good spot. Lots of TVs so on college football Saturdays, I can watch three games, have one of 200 beers and I often go with the jerked pork sandwich that comes with great krinkle fries. It takes me a long time to eat the whole sandwich.
In the evenings, its Happy Hour and that opens a whole range of opportunities. After any meal you can walk to the jetty and out past where the waves are breaking or just cruise the harbor and look at all the boats.
