This Friday Palmquist Roadrunners, an elementary school in Oceanside, are finding inspiration  from an American record setting 5k runner who won the 75-79 year old age bracket in the Carlsbad 5000 last April. Yes the 75-79 age bracket! “You are never to old to challenge yourself., “ says Anne Garrett to Troy Hirsh of SanDiego.com.  Anne started running when she was 70 years old since then she logs an upward of 25 miles a week along the Carlsbad Sea Walk.

Friday Anne will join students at Palmquest Elementary for their annual pre-Thanksgiving Jog-a-Thon. The event will be coved by KUSI that morning and SNAC is sponsoring the event, by providing oranges and water to runners.
